The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

About Us

The 374th Medical Group ensures medical readiness of the 374th Airlift Wing, 5th Air Force, and U.S. Forces Japan. The 374th MDG maintains 57 war reserve materiel projects, including the Department of Defense’s largest Patient Movement Item inventory, and deploys Expeditionary Medical Support for global contingency operations. The facility operates 15 inpatient beds and is expandable to 115 beds. The 374th MDG provides health care, including occupational health, preventive medicine, and environmental protection, to over 11,000 base personnel and is the aeromedical evacuation hub for mainland Japan.
